Prairie Caravan is a troupe of Tribal Style Bellydancers based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We have come together to form our troupe, with the desire to continue to study and expand in this amazing dance form, as well as to promote it at local events, festivals and fundraisers.
Our roots stem from Gypsy Caravan; FatChanceBellyDance®, Black Sheep Bellydance, and most recently, we're loving what's coming out of Wild Card Bellydance! But we certainly aren't afraid to colour outside the proverbial lines, and make a move all our own! For this reason, we do not consider ourselves "American Tribal Style®" (ATS®) but "Tribal Style".
Please visit our Upcoming Events page to see where we'll be dancing next, as well as information on other local bellydance events.
The Women talks about our troupe philosophy, what keeps bringing us back week after week. As well, there are drop down menus for each individual dancer, with photos and little tidbits about each woman. We are so proud to boast that our troupe currently represents FIVE decades of age ranges! It's an amazing mix, of amazing women, all brought together by the dance! This spring we also welcomed in 3 amazing new ladies to become our current student troupe!
Information on joining one of our classes, on the Tribal Classes page (go figure! ;)
